"Elias Rive, 66, came to Copake from a sister community in Ireland. After close to 40 years working as a dairy farmer, he decided to retire and spoke enthusiastically about courses he has taken this year at Columbia Greene Community College in fly tying and casting. "I have met so many new fishing buddies. When trout season opens we'll go to a number of different creeks. We'll have our exam at the creek," he said. Elias still performs with the Camphill bell choir on Monday nights."
